The 2020 Summer Olympics officially the Games of the XXXII Olympiad (Dai Sanjūni-kai Orinpikku Kyōgi Taikai) and branded as Tokyo 2020 ,. It was an international multi-sport event held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.

Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020. But the event was postponed to 2021 in March 2020 as a pandemic situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. First time in the history the Olympic Games reschedulded because, (previous games had been cancelled but not rescheduled). However, the event hang on to the Tokyo 2020 name for branding and marketing purposes. 

This year olympic has been quitely lucky for India as they have won a number of bronze, silver, and gold medals in the Tokyo ,japan Olympics 2020-21.

India have won (ten)10 gold medals at the Olympics. The men’s hockey team itself accounts for eight of them. After Neeraj Chopra , Abhinav Bindra, is the second individual Olympic champion.

In all, India have 10 gold medals in the Olympics – winning eight times as a hocky team. We won two times individuals have gold at the olympics Summer Games . In shooting and in athletics. Here’s India won the top honours in different fields at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Bronze medal – women’s singles badminton

Here you can see ,She is the Badminton queen , PV Sindhu became the first Indian woman in badminton and she is the second Indian athlete after Sushil Kumar  to win 2 individual Olympic medals.

PV Sindhu beat China’s He Bing Jiao 21-13, 21-15 to win the bronze medal in the women’s singles at tokyo olympics .

Mirabai Chanu- Silver – Women’s 49kg weightlifting

First medal of tokyo oympics owned by Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu opened India’s medal account at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics .

With a silver medal in the women’s 49kg – her first medal at the Olympics.

She was India’s second weightlifter to get Olympic medal, after Karnam Malleswari’s bronze at Sydney 2000.

Bajrang Punia – Bronze medal – men’s 65kg wrestling

Wrestler Bajrang Punia became the third Indian debutant to win a medal at Tokyo 2020.

It is India’s important bronze medal of the Tokyo Olympics – equalling their best-ever pull at a single edition of the Olympics.

Lovlina Borgohain – Bronze medal – women’s welterweight (64-69kg)

On her Games debut, Lovlina Borgohain won a bronze medal at Tokyo olympics 2020. After losing her game in the semi-finals to top seed Busenaz Surmeneli of Turkey in the women’s 69kg.

Lovlina Borgohain had beaten Chinese Taipei’s Nien-Chin Chen in the quarter-finals to assure herself of a medal.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya – Silver medal – men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling

Another Olympic debutant and another medal for India.

23-year-old Ravi Kumar Dahiya lost to two times world champion Zavur Uguev of ROC in the final. His final in men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling, thus ending up with a silver medal.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya had make sure himself of an Olympic medal when he beat Nurislam Sanayev of Kazakhstan in the semis.

Indian hockey team – Bronze medal – men’s hockey

After long time , 41-year wait, the Indian men’s hockey team finally get an Olympic medal after the gold at the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

After being 3-1 down at one point, Indian Hocky team made a big comeback to beat Germany 5-4 and claim the bronze medal.

It is third Olympic bronze medal of tokyo olympic earn by india. After the 1968 and 1972 Games and their 12th Olympic medal overall.
