PM Modi inaugurates Purvanchal Expressway

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 341-km long Purvanchal Express in Sultanpur district, located in Uttar Pradesh. The expressway connect state capital Lucknow with Ghazipur and has been builded at an near by cost of Rs 22,500 crore.

 PM Modi arrived on the Purvanchal Expressway airstrip in a military transport . The important feature of the Express way is the 3.2 km long airstrip to possible landing and take-off of Indian Air Force fighter planes in case of any urgency.

About the Purvanchal Expressway

  1. The Purvanchal Expressway begins from village Chaudsarai in the Lucknow district and completes at Haidaria village on National Highway 31 (NH31), 18 kilometres east of the UP-Bihar border.
  2. The expressway width is 6-lane wide which can be enlarged to be 8-lane in the future.
  3. This expressway is ready to give a grow to the economic development of the eastern portions of Uttar Pradesh mainly the districts of Ayodhya, Barabanki, Lucknow,Amethi,Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar,Mau, Azamgarh, and Ghazipur.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived on the Purvanchal Express in a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft and opening the 341-kilometre-long expressway, displaying the ability of the corridor to lunch and arrive fighter jets.

The latest expressway will not only open a new way to Eastern UP but also supply a massive improve to the Indian Air Force’s capabilities.

The Expressway is the 3rd to connect the whole of UP with Bihar & Delhi. The 1st stretch in between Agra & Noida was constructed & developed by the Mayawati government. The Smajvadi Party SP government under Akhilesh Yadav builded the 300-kilometre-long Taj Expressway that joins Agra to Lucknow in the past. Last One this expressway constructed under modi BJP govt. 341 km Purvanchal Expressway at Karwal Kheri in district Sultanpur of Uttar Pradesh
